The construction of the micrometer is a rigid one-piece frame of drop forged steel.
The one-piece-spindle is extremely hard and stable.
The micrometer features a ring-type knurled lock nut for quick and sure locking as well as a combination ratchet and speeder for uniform pressure and quicker adjustment.
