The BOSCHÆ benchtop router table is a versatile tool, serving many purposes in addition to producing boards edged for decoration and jointed wood for projects such as flooring that require tongue and groove boards.Any machine that includes a hardened steel bit spinning at high speeds must include safety features, and the Bosch router table is no exception.
For edge cuts, the bit remains halfway recessed into the tool's fence.
As long as the board is fed past it straight and flat, there's no danger.
However, adjustable featherboards are included with the benchtop table.
One of these serves to keep boards tight to the fence while the other holds boards flat to the table surface.
Both prevent kickbacks.A guard also sits directly over the bit, keeping pressure on the wood.
