A 4.5-Amp motor powers the single-speed Porter-Cable laminate trimmer at 31,000 rpm.
The collar of the trimmer has an adjustment ring that works in conjunction with a micro-scale ring to set the depth of cut.
A locking lever on the Porter-Cable trimmer maintains cutting depth after it's set.
The spindle holds a 1/4-inch collet, and quick-release tabs let you remove the router easily from its base for free-hand routing with jigs and templates.
